The role

As a Software Engineer in the data team at Dema, you will be at the forefront of building the engine that powers our e-commerce analytics platform, helping merchants gain actionable insights through data. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain robust solutions, while ensuring data quality, reliability, and availability across our systems. You will play a key role in our efforts to streamline and scale our analytics capabilities, contributing to a product that transforms how businesses understand and grow their sales and profitability.

Your responsibilities

• Build and maintain the infrastructure of the data stack
• Work closely with product developers to deliver new data-driven features.
• Design data models that promote long-term stability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Build and maintain complex sql queries
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure data pipeline reliability.
• Design, build, and maintain a cutting-edge data stack.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the platform meets our high standards for scalability and performance.

We are looking for

Must have:

• 4+ years of software development experience with complex code bases.
• Expert in Python and SQL; experience in TypeScript or JavaScript is a plus.
• A collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving and execution skills, eager to work across teams to deliver optimal solutions.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Prefect, Airflow or Dagster
• Infrastructure knowledge, we build on AWS, Kubernetes and TerraformKnowledge of data pipelines, ETL processes.

Requirements: 
A valid work permit for Sweden, residence in Sweden, and availability to work from the office at least three days per week.
